Glucose has important role in our body as a source of energy. People get glucose from carbohydrate in their daily food and after passing the digestive system, the glucose will be absorbed by the intestine distribute to body cell through the bloodstream. The glucose needs insulin in order to enter the cell, so that we can describe the insulin as "the door" of the cell.
